Summer is officially off and running in our house.  The kids have been out of school since last Thursday.  (It was suppose to be a half day, but those are just stupid in my opinion, and far more work than they are worth.)  Monday was Memorial Day Holiday, and yesterday we had a wonderful family friend who took us all on a surprise lunch date.  Today began what a normal day of summer would look like.

This is my first summer as a mother of four.  WOW!!!  I'm now home all day with four kids aged seven or under.  I'm out-numbered and overwhelmed.  What do I do now?

I am working toward a schedule that will make summer more enjoyable for all of us.  I've gathered research on pinterest and read several blogs from work at home mommies only to discover that I will probably finish summer beating myself up for not being a wonderful caring mother.

This technological age is suppose to make life easier, but I have decided that is a hoax.  All it does it cause us to compare ourselves to an even greater amount of people, many of whom we will never meet.  It allows us another arena for us to beat ourselves up.

Well I am going to try not to do that.  I'm going to try to keep things simple and have a good time.  I think I can make a few good memories with my kids.   So what if they don't have everything the world has to offer.  They have me!
